It's wise to consider getting an extended auto warranty, often known as a vehicle service contract, to safeguard your car from unexpected malfunctions. The day your manufacturer's warranty expires, your financial risk as a car owner skyrockets. So, for added peace of mind, many motorists opt for an extended warranty.

Although it has only been around for a short time, Concord Auto Protect has already won over many satisfied customers in the extended warranty industry. We will look at the various plans, costs, and perks the company offers.

Overview of Concord Auto Protect

If you need a car warranty, look no further than Pennsylvania's Concord Auto Protect. The average lifespan of an automobile is expected to increase, but this company plans to continue providing excellent service with its cutting-edge technologies and customer support. Vehicle owners can get excellent protection and above-average perks from Concord Auto Protect.

Vehicle service contracts are not insured by a third party but rather provided directly by the company. In addition, the policy comes with perks, including round-the-clock assistance from an agent and a refund if you change your mind within 30 days.

Concord Auto Protect Coverage Options

Concord Auto Protect provides customers with three packages to choose from, each tailored to the customer's specific requirements and budget. As a result, Concord Auto Protect plans are mid-tier in the spectrum of vehicle warranty extensions. For example, looking at the entire Powertrain plan, you'll see that it covers more than just the powertrain itself. As a counterpoint, the Premium plan does not provide as much protection as a traditional manufacturer's bumper-to-bumper warranty.

Also, remember that this is just a summary of key points. Specific components of a system still need to be addressed. To give just one example, there are only six electrical components covered, even though there are many more.

Although the Premium plan's high-tech coverage covers more of your vehicle's electrical components, it still needs to cover everything. So you should read the contract thoroughly before signing anything.

Concord Auto Protect Perks

Each of the three options provides the same benefits:

  • Trip interruption: If your vehicle breaks down more than 100 miles from your house, Concord Auto Protect will pay up to $50 each day, for up to 3 days, for food and housing expenses.
  • Roadside assistance: Towing, lockout service, jump start service, fuel delivery, and the cost of installing a spare tire are all covered by Concord Auto Protect. You'll have to front the cash for any emergency roadside assistance you need and then submit receipts for a possible refund.
  • Rental car reimbursement: Concord will pay for your rental car expenses (up to $75 each day, for a maximum of four days) if the damage to your vehicle is covered under warranty. With a daily budget of $75, you can upgrade to a more excellent rental car. Most competitors cap their coverage at $35 per day. In the same breath, if the repair is extensive, more than four days may be required.

Exclusionary vs. Stated-Component Coverage

Concord Auto Protect only offers plans that cover specific components rather than covering everything from bumper to bumper. As an exclusionary contract, a bumper-to-bumper warranty specifies nothing but what is not included. There is protection for anything not explicitly mentioned. Agreements with stated components, on the other hand, detail everything that is paid for.

Even the most comprehensive stated-component warranty will provide less protection than a warranty with no excluded parts. That being said, you should look elsewhere if you want auto coverage that comes close to matching the terms of the original manufacturer's warranty.

Concord Auto Protect: How It Functions

If they have the ASE approval, you can take your car to any repair shop you like. However, before beginning any service, you must receive support from Concord Auto Protect.

Concord will not pay for a diagnosis, regardless of whether the repair is covered by warranty, so be prepared to authorize and pay for one. There may be deductibles associated with the plans, but those options aren't listed.

Feedback on the Concord Automobile Protect Warranty

Concord Auto Protect has received overwhelmingly positive online reviews despite being significantly younger than industry giants like CARCHEX. While many of the compliments focus on the ease with which new customers can get answers to their questions during the purchasing process, others applaud the company's speed with which legitimate claims are settled.

Incredibly, the company has a BBB customer rating of 4.1/5.0 stars from its customers. Concord Auto Protect has a rating of C with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), although the company is not accredited. In addition, there are over 332 testimonials for the company on Trustpilot, where they have an average rating of 3.2 stars with Concord Auto Protect receiving quite a few negative reviews as of late.

Cancellation and Refund Procedures

Concord Auto Protect is no different from other extended warranty companies because they will give you your money back if you are unhappy with the coverage or service they provide. In addition, a complete reimbursement will be given to customers who request termination of coverage during the first 30 days. However, you may need more time to think about it and ultimately decide to withdraw the policy after the 30-day grace period. In that case, the business will still collaborate with you to reimburse a prorated quantity of your approach based on mileage, provided you can provide a legal odometer reading and agree to have $25 deducted from your refund as an administrative fee.

How To File A Claim?

When the time comes to put your insurance to the test, how does the claims process work? Using Concord Auto Protect appears straightforward: take your car to the service center and provide them with your Concord details. In the event of an accident covered by Concord Auto Protect, the firm will charge the cost of the repairs to your credit card and issue payment over the phone, less any deductible you may have.

There is no documentation that policyholders are liable for, and there is no maximum on the number of claims they can submit. Concord Auto Protect, like most service contracts, requires pre-approval of repairs before agreeing to cover the costs of those repairs.

In most cases, you should expect to pay between $88 and $111 for a basic repair diagnostic; this does not include any applicable taxes or additional costs. In addition, before any repairs are made, the policyholder may be responsible for having the vehicle inspected by the authorized repair facility. This means you will have to pay something toward the cost of repairs even if you enroll in the company's plan with no deductible. Remember that as you consider different insurance policies.

You won't have to spend anything out of pocket to get your car back when you have Concord Auto Protect because all claims are paid straight to the repair facility.

Who Performs The Repairs?

Concord Auto Protect requires the facilities to have at least one ASE-certified specialist on staff, despite the website's frequent assurances that buyers can use any dealer, repair shop, or neighborhood mechanic to handle the claim repair.

If you are concerned that the repair shop you want to use won't take Concord Auto Protect coverage, you should call them before purchasing a plan. Concord is happy to contact the repair shop directly before you acquire the plan, even if the shop initially declines to do so.

Additional Advantages

Concord Auto Protect covers you with some extra services if your car breaks down. The following may be expected of any extended warranty policy, but they are all welcome additions that give customers the peace of mind they seek. Additional Concord services are reimbursed and include the following.

  • Towing: When a breakdown occurs, policyholders can get up to $120 to be towed to the closest authorized repair shop.
  • Emergency Trip Interruption: If your car breaks down at least 100 miles from home, you can get $50 daily for up to three days.
  • Flat Tire Support: As long as you have a spare, Concord will cover the cost of changing a flat tire.
  • Battery Failure/Fuel Help: If you run out of gas and need a jump start or fuel supplied to your car, the service provider will pay up to $40 to cover the costs.
  • Lockout Service: If you have locked your keys in your car and need up to $25 in compensation, you can apply.
  • Rental Car Reimbursement: Concord's policy is to reimburse you up to $75 per day, for a total of $450, for the cost of a rental car if you need one while your vehicle is being repaired due to a covered breakdown.
